The School

The British Language Centre first opened its doors on April 1st 1985. The school started life as "International House" as both founding partners were trained by and had worked for a number of years in that organisation.

In the past 22 years we have taught literally thousands of adults and children, helping them in their work or social environment to come to terms with communicating in English. Thousands have also used our Cambridge ESOL centre to gain recognised qualifications such as PET and First Certificate in English.

We have been proud to be associated with the "Unitre", for whom we run courses for senior citizens, with the C.R.T and their teacher training programme, and with many of the companies which are central to the economy of the Valtellina.
